Real Stories Are The Art
I’m a photographer because I care about people and the stories they are living, not because I’m chasing perfect poses or polished moments. I believe the art is already there in how someone laughs, how they hold their partner, how they exist when they forget they are being watched. My job isn’t to create something that isn’t real. It’s to notice what is real and give it space to be seen. Photography, for me, is about paying attention.
Outside of photography, I’m a nurse, a mom, and a wife, and those roles shape how I show up behind the camera. I know life is layered and messy and often moves too fast to pause, and I don’t take it lightly when someone trusts me to document it. I photograph people the way I would want my own story remembered, honestly, with care, and without pretending things are more perfect than they are.
